A stepper-motor driven retrofit for huge old clocks, like on buildings
and bell towers and such. It should be possible to remove all but the
last few gears, clean and lube them, and belt-couple the stepper motor
into the remaining mechanicals. After a power failure, it should catch
up. Any gear-belt ratio should be programmable, and it should be
easily settable. You could probably sell it.
