Post Self-made hardware network (LAN) the filter.
Hello!

I had an idea to create the hardware network filter, for blocking "superfluous" (except TCP/UDP) packages of transport level. As I make different electronic homemade products, I think special problems with creation of the similar device will not arise.

However having turned search engines, has not found though any "deposit".

There can be somebody has come across similar designs? Prompt please where it is possible to find the information on similar things!

Thanks.

To advise "to buy and put hardware firewall" it is not necessary.

I would be very hard to achieve pure hardware solution, since you have to deal with several layers of protocols. Instead, look for an embedded server solution that boots Linux (for example with Atmel AT91 uC) and with onboard Ethernet engine.
