I hereby release the source code of my old but quite famous project called Hydra. What it is and what it can do? Here is a partial dump from the README file:


This project is a few years old, so there might be some problems when connecting to IRC servers if anything has changed since my last tests. But - as it is still useful for IRC wars - I could apply some fixes if you are interested in it.

Compile with 'make' and run with './hydra'. On the console type 'help' for a command list. Anyway I don't know if it still works with modern IRC servers.

Unfortunately it is an old code and definitely needs update. It was tested only on relatively old Linux systems, so I do not guarantee that it will still work on modern ones. However if you are using a binary file attached to the tarball, don't do that. You need to recompile with 'make'. Maybe that will help.

Unfortunately I'm currently a very busy man and I have no time to update, so you're on your own with that . If I ever make any updated version, it will be posted here.

As for other clones software, I remember that there once were 'mirkforce' (or 'mirkf0rce') clones, darkforce clones, x-men clones and several others. I don't know if these are still alive.

I see

One more that comes to my mind is 'muhstik' or 'muhstick' or something like that.
Once there was even an open-source project on sourceforge by an Italian guy but I don't recall any details.
